Hi there,
I just bought a higher mileage 2012 Volt and have noticed a problem I am concerned about -- when accelerating from a dead stop, there is a noticeable click or thunk noise from under the hood. Like a metallic, suspension or drivetrain type noise. You can really hear it with the window down. It also sometimes makes the noise when slowing while braking. Just one click, each time.
Any ideas what could be causing this? The Chevy dealer inspection I paid for before purchase of course didn't catch this problem, but that's an issue for another day....
Car is now at another dealer getting a once over, but I'm kinda worried this is bad or not warrantied under the voltec coverage.
Thanks!
