I have a 2012 Volt that has been bricked due to a BCM issue and I have purchased the VXDIAG VCX NANO tool and have installed all of the software which came on a USB stick that came with the product. When I launch VX Manager and try to run the diagnostics, I encounter an error

"The system cannot find the file specified -t2w-proxy.jar"

Did something go wrong during my install and I did not notice, is there additional software the I need to load / purchase to get it to work?

I feel that if I can run the diagnostics, I can then clear the trouble codes and prehaps unbrick my Volt.

Any suggestions or advice would be most welcomed.

Thanks,

I don't know what you have actually installed... should be more specific but diagnostics is not run by VX manager.
VX manader setup is installing the necessary drivers in order Nano to run and after it's installed it just shows what drivers you have installed, the licence, the firmware that can be updated etc.

Did you install Tech2Win and GDS2?

Many thanks to those that have replied. By the way BCM = batttery control module is the hardware component controlled by software accessible by the VCX/GDS interface with its own codes and software beyond the standard ODB2. Trouble codes are often set when the module encounters discrepancies with voltage, etc which effective bricks the car until cleared using the VCX device.

i have downloaded the latest software from the web site as suggested and have followed through the enclosed video showing the step by step installation screenshot video, I wish they had also included written instructions as it is very difficult to troubleshoot if something goes wrong. I get through everything fine until I reached the point where I am to launch GDS2 via a button installed on the desktop. This is where I encounter the t2w-proxy.jar missing error about halfway through the install video and can go no further. I have searched the install package for this file and had no success in locating it.

Just wondering, if this file comes when you purchase a subscription from GM, otherwise I am kind of lost.

I could try completely uninstalling again and start all over to see if that help.

Many thanks, this is really buggy software! Not to mention the many versions out there.
