Would the 2017 manual be applicable to the 2018 models? My guess is yes, but - any better advice?

The official one, yes. You can get a subscription here and access an interactive manual, but this service has a price that I would think only makes sense for businesses. the 2012 Volt service manual was not too big, it was only 185MB in PDF form.

 

i did find and download the 2012 Volt service manual, but i cant believe no one has the gen2?

is it not available anywhere?

I bought the 2018 pdf manual off ebay for around 20$, its searchable but non of the clickable links work, but all the info is there, wiring diagrams too etc. The version for sale i got says it covers 2016-2018

Is it safe to assume a manual for 2016-2018 should be helpful for a 2019? I know of a few feature
upgrades in 2019 but overall it's still a second gen.

I have a 2019 and need the procedure to replace the Coolant Bypass valve, part# 13547234. DTC is P26A9. I hear clicking under the hood whenever I unlock the car, plug in the charger, etc. I would think a manual for any Gen2 would be usable for the procedure.
