Build date on the door panel is 3/2016.Nope, been FLAWLESS since delivery back in Aug 16, BTW my 2017 was built 06/16. Would help to know when yours was built.
Interesting, since mine has been flawless I wonder if there is a TSB/Software update for "early" build's?Build date on the door panel is 3/2016.
Was the iPod plugged in when you turned the car on? If so, try plugging in after you turn the Volt on. Something about the Volt's USB can be flaky at timesToday i got to experience a problem where only the radio worked. the iPod direct would not work and bluetooth would not. They would indicate they were playing but no sound. So I had to TURN THE CAR OFF to reset it. Really?
The only other car I had an issue with in the last ten plus years was a Mustang, apparently radio tech is beyond domestics when it comes to iPods
Well it does seem that whatever mood the system decides on is the mood it keeps throughout until you turn the car off. Surely there has to be a better way to reset the USB/infortainmentWas the iPod plugged in when you turned the car on? If so, try plugging in after you turn the Volt on. Take it to the dealer with a long list of your concerns.Well it does seem that whatever mood the system decides on is the mood it keeps throughout until you turn the car off. Surely there has to be a better way to reset the USB/infortainment
- Everything works
- Sticks between songs, pause/play cycle starts next song
- No iPod sound and no BT sound, radio has sound
- Random skips in song
At first I was hoping it simply had problems with long playlists but that got shot down with a simple ten track play list.
A friend of mine also has a 3/2016 build 2017 Volt. It didn't have the Android Auto software installed from the factory. Even you don't need Android support, it is still a good idea to get the update, as it fixes other things.Build date on the door panel is 3/2016.
I wish I could make my presets disappear - especially on the NAV screen where I want NAV to be full screen. The manual doesn't really do a good job on how to swipe radio/gps presets on and off and what screens if any they are permanently on.I love this car (2017 Volt Premier), but the Infotainment system is going to drive me crazy.
I have had all my presets disappear on me twice now. About 2.5 months between occurrences.
Also, I am 99% sure that the 'shuffle' setting used to stick between sessions, but it is not now. Everytime I start my car, I have to re-enable that setting.
Is anyone else seeing either of these problems?
Yeah who knows. I'm actually less concerned about that than about getting everything working properly. I downloaded MD Player at your suggestion and it does work - in the sense that it responds to voice commands ("Play Metallica") and I hear the song. But I can't see any way to do anything except play one single folder of music (which is essentially an album). It doesn't recognized my existing playlists on the phone, as other music apps do, and I can't figure out a way for it to just play even a random shuffle of all songs. So the search continues.Hmmm, that is a pretty power phone. You're not getting pairing or connectivity issues, are you? AA still shows on the projection icon on MyLink everytime you connect? Cause if not, I'd think your micro USB cable is suspect. Otherwise, this is a weird issue. My Xperia Z3 Compact has had nearly no issues aside from initial static on the bluetooth connection after AA starts.
Sometimes turning the infotainment system off and then back on will help.Today i got to experience a problem where only the radio worked. the iPod direct would not work and bluetooth would not. They would indicate they were playing but no sound. So I had to TURN THE CAR OFF to reset it. Really?
