My 2017 Volt Premier is supposed to have wireless charging for your compatible cell phone. I use a wireless charger for my S7 at home...works great. But I have only once gotten the phone to "see" the wireless charger by slipping it slowly into the charging pocket. Anyone else experience this failure?

I'm one of the 1% people who have a Windows Phone, Lumia 950 and wireless charging works great. However, it took me a few tries to understand the expected position of the phone. I believe mine works best if its inserted with the battery of the phone facing the console and the glass facing the back seat. Second, the phone should be placed upright. Once I figured that out its second nature and works fine. Monitor the phone icon on the Volt display and you'll see a small green arrow or lightening bolt show up when charging is working.

I have an S7 also. The charger can be finicky. Mine seems to work "most" of the time that I tried it. I have seen it start to charge then suddenly stop for no apparent reason. The charge that it delivers is so slow that I rarely bother with it now.

I have a S5 with an aftermarket wireless charge coil installed. I haven't been able to get it to wirelessly charge in the pocket.

I couldn't get my Samsung S7 to work but my older Samsung S5 works just fine. We essentially gave up on it given how slow it was and therefore elected to use a plug-in fast charger.

Thanks for the feedback. Since the charging is so slow I guess I won't worry about it. Love my S7. The Volt is a work in progress...now waiting for the best pure BEV that will meet my needs.
