Why the Volt isn't cost effective (Proven)

If saving money were my primary goal, I'd never buy a new car. It is well known that cars depreciate the most in the first few years. My Volt was the first new car I've bought in 27 years. (There were six used cars purchased in between -- mostly from private parties, in order to get the best price.) I'd always been thinking about buying a hybrid, but as time went by and the Volt came on the scene, I started looking that way.

And man, am I ever happy to have finally bought one. There is so much to be excited about the Volt -- the technology and sportiness are way ahead of all the rest. The fact that I use a lot less gas, it is American developed technology and American-built, so many reasons to feel good about the car. Fuel economy is only one part of the equation.
