I haven't seen any ideas that I am fond of for a trash can on the gen2 volt. I went through this thread:

But was hoping for something a bit less obvious.

Has anyone found an somewhat elegant solution? Was hoping for something in the center console area somewhere.

I don't store trash in the car, so the little I might produce (tissues for allergy/colds) can go in a small plastic bag and removed when exiting the car.

The best thing I have come up with is just to put a large plastic cup in a rear cup holder and designate that for small items of trash. It does not hold much, but is quick to dump into a regular trash can in my garage.

For road trips, I like to keep a plastic grocery bag handy in the car and I have suspended one using a bulldog clothing clip (like from a workplace ID badge) tied with string to the console pillar near the gear shift.

The Mr. Fusion option was not available in non-carb states.

Most discrete spot I can think is the water bottle spot in the driver's door. Find a opaque container like the following:

and put it snug in the door.
