I know there's a few threads that dance around this topic but I'd like to get different opinions on which ones you guys have settled on. Most of the ones on Flea-Bay are shipped from China. It's be nice to get some other options. My '17 uses the 433 freq.

I rotated my tires (do it myself) and now front and rear are reversed on the display.

I got an orange one for my 2012 from Amazon. It was about $89 about two years ago. It worked perfectly. I keep it with the battery removed to avoid corrosion,

I use the one below, although that is with my 2013 (Gen 1) Volt. I'm not sure if it works with the Gen 2 as well.

Apparently the VT15 (as opposed to the VT5 that is above) works universally with all domestic vehicles, as it is capable of being updated, etc.

As an aside, I miss the 2011 Volt "feature" where you could simply let some air out of a tire to relearn that position, no tool required. That was nice.

Yes my 2011 has the let air out relearn feature. No tool required!
This is the same method I use in my 2009 Chevy Equinox. Since my tires last very long (I drive slow and mostly on asphalted roads) my wear is low and in eight years I am still on my second set of tires, after the first factory set. If tires are the biggest ownership expense, driving better will save you money as it has done for me.

I have a VT-5 (sort of the gray version of the orange one, I'm guessing they're all made in the same place in China somewhere). It works great, except after I bought mine, I've stopped rotating tires. But I still need it for when I switch from all season to snow & ice tires. Except since Snowageddons 1 and 2, after I bought my snow & ice, I've hardly used them. I'm tempted to sell my TPMs reset tool but I know as soon as I do, I'll need it.

I have an ATEQ VT5. It was about $60 at TireRack. Works on both my 2015 and 2017 (production Feb 2016).

If you get rid of that thing, you'll probably get a blizzard. Even if it's July.

Ok! All is good. I got the re-set tool (in post #13) and used it today. Did the procedure in the Volt manual, worked as advertised.

+1 for bentbiker in Post #6

Autel TS-401 is what I have.
Autel TS-408 is the new model.

Costs a bit more (than the simple tools), but the extra features are nice.
Autel provides free FW updates for life.
I got my TS-401, "used like new" for $99.
Looks like the new TS-408 is a better value.
However, judging by the screen shots & User Manual (of TS-408) I think the TS-401 displays information better.
