The first vehicle to benefit from FNC-treated rotors was the 2009 Cadillac DTS. It was followed in 2011 by the Chevrolet Impala, Malibu and Volt and the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. The Cadillac ATS and XTS are the most recent recipients. More than 80 per cent of GM vehicles sold in Canada will have FNC rotors by 2016.

So - is FNC standard GM procedure these days?
Since it isn't mentioned at all in sales lit or online parts - did GM drop it? Find something better?

Would 3rd party (ie:Bendix) rotors have it as well? How would we even know?

Small update: GM filed for a patent in Mar 2017 around FNC. So I guess it is still going on?

They absolutely exist! We changed the name to Duralife Rotors a little while ago. They are on most new products (with only a few exceptions, like the current Spark and Sonic, commercial vans, and current Buick Regal GS, for example)

My 2011 Volt rotors with this treatment are still looking good.

My 2013 rotors are looking great also - no rust. It is great that GM is using this on most of their vehicles now.

Thanks for the answers! I am about to roll over 100K on my MY2013 and the rotors are in great shape! Used about 2mm of pad in the front too. A - friggin -mazing.
