For almost 4000 miles now in nyc i try to keep my brand new volt clear of bumper damage, park far away from other cars or even avoid parking under trees dropping nuts in the fall. But today i damage my side mirror myself by hitting a tree. It cracked the cover on top and the bottom black piece and i still remember that cracking and popping sound. Ouch!. Also i curby rims few weeks ago.

Put a small rash on one wheel, fixed it. Another driver door dented my fender, fixed it. That's it.

A stop sign on a raised concrete island appeared out of nowhere, put dents and gashes into my front hood, the roof, the passenger doors, and tore off the passenger door mirror. Interestingly, the front bumper survived. Had I known what this was going to do to my insurance rates, I would have happily paid for the body work myself rather than make an insurance claim. I now only use car insurance for the catastrophic totallig of a car, and pay for any body work and other dents myself. About a year later, a deere kamikaze'd himself into the front end with my son driving. This car was like an electromagnet in its first 2 years of ownership, but has been OK since then.

Bought used. It came with a ripped pocket behind the driver's seat and a small ding in the passenger rear door, that can be seen in some lighting angles (like a golf ball hit it at some point). These remind us that all things are transitory, and it's okay to use a car up eventually. I COULD fix that, but I'd rather get snow tires next month. And a Kitchenaid mixer the month after that. And a new Garmin Drive. And a Sailrite LSZ-1 in spring.

What I did to it?
Grazed mirror on a concrete pillar ever so slightly in a parking garage. The clear plastic over the LED indicator is slightly scuffed/hazed, otherwise no real issue, still works fine. You don't know unless you look really close at it.

What other's did to it?
Couple light scratches in the passenger rear. Can't really say when they appeared, but noticed them after the last wash.
All I know is I didn't hit anything. I'm guessing dealer car wash or a rogue shopping cart while I was away.

Clipped the right mirror while backing into the garage ('13 Volt). Chipped the black bezel and the front plastic part of the mirror popped apart. Popped it back together and turned it in at lease end. No charges. No other dings or anything other than the chin spoiler scraping on anything bigger than an acorn.

/Well, it wasn't exactly lease end. I got dinged for early lease return when I bought the ELR. Ya only live once! ><

I bought snow tires last year. It turned out to be a wonderful snow deterrent.

Second day I had mine someone backed into it in a parking lot. Huge SUV, pulled out of his parking spot without looking and hit the passenger side door (with my daughter behind it). Freaked my daughter out, and me as it was so new (she got to hear some new words from me), but otherwise it was a relatively small ding. Talked to the guy, he and I had some mutual friends, he called his insurance and accepted all responsibility, it was a fast and easy fix at the body shop, and cheap. All was cool in the end.

I figure it's my turn. We can't expect you to buy new ones every year.
I'll just keep them. If I sell them, snowageddon 3 will come.

A year into the ownership of our '14, a neighbor's bike fell against the back bumper of the car, leaving a small divot. Then last month my wife somehow broke the cover (over the mirror) on the sun visor. I have no idea how she did that, and never thought that would happen.

The very first week my wife tried to close garage door with the hatch open. Scratched the hatch door. I did the same next day. So 2 scratches on the hatch door, not too noticeable from a few meters.
