I was over on the other Bolt forum and this question came up that caught my attention. The original question was what are the three empty buttons to the right of the Traction Control off button for? I found a good image of the buttons in the Ampera E so they are used on the Opel but now I'm wondering what Opel uses them for?

It looks like something to do with parking and I'm guessing something to do with lane departure warning?

To add to 2VoltFamily, these features may only be available in the premier but not sure. I have all these features on my 2016 premier volt.

The far left of the three buttons is the "automatic parking assist" (APA) feature which will help you parallel park or perpendicular park your car. The middle button is a "parking assist" feature which alerts you as you get close to objects in the front (FPA) and in the rear (RPA). All these are on/ff toggle switches.

I watched a recent TFL car review where the Bolt engineer was asked about those buttons. His response was that in Europe there is a requirement to have several functions that are typically on the steering wheel also present on the instrument cluster. That is why they are blanks in the US version of the Bolt.

Makes sense to me. Also - looking at the screenshot above, the buttons are (from left to right):
Hazards
Sport Mode
Traction Control Off
Automatic Parking (Parallel / Perpendicular)
Park Assist
Lane Keep Assist

I have the blanks there on my premier....

wish I could pop out a blank, and find a factory switch to replace it, then I could solder some wire into my hand held garage door opener and have a stock looking garage door opener on my dash.

I've seen those features displayed, but I have not seen them in a U.S. production Bolt EV. It sounds like they are European only (and possibly Canadian?).
