Originally VoltStats would poll your car 4 times in a 24 hour period, then about 3 years ago that was reduced to twice per day (essentially every 12 hours), now lately I have noticed VoltStats is only polling my Volt once in a 24 hour period.

So I'm wondering if others have noticed this. I appreciate what Mike has done for the Volt community, so this is just a question.

OnStar may have asked him to go to polling twice a day instead of 4 times a day. Compiled across so many vehicles, that's a lot of savings in cellular data.

That's what happened 3 years ago, but now he's only polling my car ONCE in a 24 hour period.

My Volt is getting polled about twice daily on average, but it is not consistent. Some days it's once, some days it's three times, could have to do with when the car is available to respond, could be with Volt Stats, could be with OnStar. OnStar has always seemed inconsistent to me.

OnStar is having issues as of 14 hours ago. I have not been able to update the charging status on my ELR using the myCadillac app, but I am able to unlock the car remotely. Called OnStar, and there is no ETA on when it will be fixed. Voltstats has not been updated on Elroy since 12:11:39 PM CST on 10/19/17.

My last poll was yesterday early AM. Checking a few others on VoltStats shows the same thing. I think something is up with Onstar.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with polling issues currently... I finally got my VoltStats account set up a few days ago (had to contact Mike as one of the previous lessees had registered their(my) Volt previously, so I was locked out for a bit) and I noticed I haven't had anything polled as of yet, but I was willing to chalk it up to some Pre-Owned weirdness..
Granted I still only have remote access via the myChev. app (won't show charging, miles, etc.) after activating my OnStar promo for buying the car used, about a month ago. I was going to call them up sometime this weekend and see if I could get anything useful out of them about either issue. Maybe I'll get some note worthy news to report back?

Still nothing new since 11 am (CST) Thursday for me, and the line for Electric Miles Driven in a Day has disappeared from the Details page Achievement Status bar. I have seen this happen a couple times in the past, I would imagine Mike is working to fix it and finding problem after problem.

Got polled at 5:21 CST this morning. An odd time, but I'll take it. Only the Miles Per Tanks of Gas stat remains - which makes since since the others have timed dependencies in calculating them.

Three cheers for Mike's hard work in maintaining the site.

Last data pull was in the am on 10/19. I checked to see if I needed to Re-Authorize (did not). So not sure what the issue is. Hopefully Mike will weigh in.

Hm. Not for me, in Ontario as well. For Lifetime Electric all there is in the app is -- -- and 0%. In the Since Full Charge tab it shows 2km Electric 2km total, which is correct at the moment, but it shows 99% and 0.2l/100km. How did I use 0.2 liters of gas??? Seems the problem is not geographic. If the voltstats site see's -- -- (0) for electric miles it discards the data as an error. Hope it gets sorted out soon. I'm addicted to millage watching already and I've only had the car a week!

Those are onstar metrics. Voltstats is completely different.
When the onstar frontend often fails, voltstats continues to work fine as they're getting a feed from the database. Onstar's breaking of things doesn't affect the database.

Yes, but both the OnStrat front end and the Voltstats site both depend on OnStar polling the car. The current problem is that OnStar isn't polling the car, so neother their front end, nor Voltstats get any new data.
