This week at Las Vegas - Venetian hotel -garage -6th floor.
two VOlts in the electric car-E-charge stalls.
One with the wing caught my attention. painted to match the color of the car- nicely done.
Interesting concept. Fellow member on this board?
Other days I also seen couple Teslas in the same spot.

There is nothing wrong with a little creativity...
Momma also said a lot of other things I disagree with and she was often wrong... even till this day :)

few days prior... saw two other interesting beasts

Woody

and
this beast of a party bus.

None of which is my kind of vehicle, but I am sure some one will have some memories brought back and get a kick out of it.

That wing is a great way to add some drag :)

Bet the back end of his Volt doesn't get as dusty...

+1

Might as well add a fart can exhaust mod, a lowering kit, undercarriage neon lights, and some stickers on the rear window to complete the package, because all these things will make the volt go a whole lot faster.

If the goal was to make it look similar to all the other cars people stick wings on and increase drag, mission accomplished. Owner can do whatever he wants with it. It's not going to bother me.
About every other Honda in my town has a wing on it. It would just blend in. :D
I'm sure that at 140 mph that POS thing hanging on the back works.
I'm sure he just decreased his range by 5-10 miles, especially on the highway.
At my age, I haven't seen a Woody lately...:)

It appears that the wing is on an older volt so obviously is trying to get extra mileage to be equal to the newer volts. Imagine all that extra down force on those non-powered rear wheels!
An aftermarket replacement spoiler that kept the tail from accumulating as much snow or dirt would interest me. I mean in the winter the back of the Volt can look like a freakin snow cone.

Perhaps the aerodynamicists at GM fixed this for 2016.

My mother would probably say "The one on the right looks nice."

Problem is silence is just too subtle for some to get the point.

That one at least looks 100% factory original, right down to the hubcaps. Takes me back...
Probably heard the new one looks like a civic and wanted to envision that spirit with the current one.

Cue Elemental.
Just Wing-it!
The downward pressure created on the rear (at speed around 75mph) will off set the "front to rear" balance,
If you always only carry 1.7 gallon fuel, this will help bring back that balance to the rear. Or just fill it up with gasoline and the wing can come off :)
Slightly lightening the front also decrease front tire wear (and traction) as well as rolling resistance.
Why would you want your VOlt to look like all other Volts in the neighborhood? Change it up; add a wing or two.
