I have a tendency to agree. I think the name, has a lot of brand equity with the early adopter and the 2nd round (first time EV buyer) buyer population. Although I think GM could have done a better job with product awareness to the masses, I think those in the current 1st time EV buyer population recognize the name (and thus, the technology) as tested and proven. That's where brand equity comes into play.I'm pretty sure it's secured through 2020. I doubt they'd get rid of the Volt name; they'll just transfer it to a CUV or another style.
