Here's a thought, roll the vehicle out via ebay. If thier starting price is $35K plus then you know dang well the first people too get thier hands on these will pop them right up on ebay too sell. Don't believe me? look at the Smart Car right now. On ebay the Cabrolet Smart (prob spelled that wrong) people are asking $20,000+ for those. You know dang well the first "batch" of Volt's will be $45K plus if they are ebay-ed. You know GM would not do that but it's a pretty cool thought to auction off the first batch. Correct me if i'm wrong but the first Green Dodge Challenger was ebay was it not? It's prob a good guess that the first 10,000 or so Volt's would go way above the asking price of say $35K right?

FWIW

Who would this be cool for? Certainly not the consumer. GM can't do it directly because of their dealer agreements, so the only people doing it are going to be speculators. I would much prefer to see the cars go to enthusiasts than people just trying to make money.
