Hey everyone. Future Volt owner here. I've been following this forum for a long time and finally decided to give posting a shot. I test drove a Volt a couple of weeks ago, and like everyone, found it pretty remarkable. The most interesting thing I found is the temptation to really let it rip on the freeway because there was no negative feedback from a loud/struggling engine. My dad hit 85 without even realizing it, and we both agreed the driving experience blew the CTS we test drove out of the water. I had heard really good things, and it still blew me away.

In other news, I was taking a jog around Ann Arbor and finally came across someone using the charging stations on Main Street. Raise your hand if this is yours!!

Nice to hear your comments, I always considered the Volt the Cadillac of the GM line and I think it should be marketed that way. I am sure you will love the car, we do ours. We have 8800 hard miles on ours, sense 10-22-11, including one deer.

Welcome to the forum as an official member! Yes the Volt driving experience is just not what you're used to, and that's a very good thing. If you do another test drive, try accelerating around corners on slower surface streets. The "whoosh" is a blast.

That's not my Volt. It is one of several Volts who use the Detrot Edison parking lot.....when we can beat the thoughtless ICE car drivers who park in the charging spots.

Buy the Volt. I just finished a week of commuting to Detroit and back, over 350 miles on less than 1 gallon of gasoline.

Yes the volt drives really well and once you get use to how it drives it in my opinion way superior to ICE cars at the same price level around 30K. Drove our second car today a Volkswagen Passat, I hated every minute. The response and reving is just bad, sterring is bad. I am so tempted on replacing it with a second Volt, good thing I rarely have to drive it.

I'm planning on visiting Ann Arbor this summer for three or four days and have already scoped out ChargePoint stations in Michigan City, Kalamazoo, and Battlecreek so I can puddle jump my way from Chicago, recharging along the way while sightseeing, eating, etc. Nice to know Ann Arbor has some charge options too!

That wasn't me, but I was parked next to it on two different days this week around lunch time. I purchased my Gray Volt a little over a week ago, it still has temporary plates.

I spoke with the driver of the pictured Volt. The driver is a student using his father's Volt while the parent is visiting Michigan.

As he and I were chatting, someone came up and asked us questions about our Volts.
