Our 2017 Volt will not be driven for 2 months. Should we leave it plugged in during the 2 months?

According to the manual (page 247), no. Discharge the battery down to 2-3 bars and disconnect the 12 volt battery's negative. Getting at the battery to reconnect it requires some dexterity, if the car's gonna be indoors I'd be tempted to leave the rear hatch open.

Why did you start two different threads about the same thing?

I'd take the owner's manual advice. They built the dang thing and should know how to maintain it.

You're totally right!

Perhaps you should also leave a single thread about the Tesla Crash? I see 3 started by you.

Just saying......

Good point. However, they're all not about the crash. They're about the various outlandish reactions to a single event.

Right back at ya!

Or, as the manual also says, just connect a 12V battery maintainer, or automatic charger.
