Hi All, thanks in advance for your help! This is for a 2011 Volt.

Last Thursday, the check engine light showed up and I took it to Autozone to check the codes (in the process of buying a reader). There are only two codes, it says "P1E00: Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 Requested MIL Illumination", Im including a picture. Today the car was taken to the mechanic to see what was wrong, but unfortunately due to weather conditions/ice/snow, they said there were too many new codes to properly diagnose, so they reset the codes and said to bring it back if the light comes back on.

I don't like the idea of driving the car around and waiting for the light to show up again, seems like something could go wrong in the meanwhile. What could be wrong? Should I really wait until the light comes back, or is there anything I can do to proactively troubleshoot this? I've never had the light show up before, Ive had the car now for about six months. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I installed the WOT bypass plug and removed the sensor from the battery coolant reservoir a few days ago. My coolant level is right at the seam of the tank, but everyone here says the new specs say the level should be at the top of the black sticker. I've been meaning to get some DexCool to put in the reservoir but haven't had a chance to go by the dealership.

That's not the important one, it's the other side of that one. The one GM put a farking tamper lock on.

Fill it up above the seam or the sticker. You can take the top plastic off, and remove the tamper plate or just lift it out of the way and take the lid off.

Make sure you use the right Dexcool with DI water permit. It should say hybrid cooling system on it. PN#12378390
