I came across this information while looking into getting Clean Fuel plates for my new Volt. Pretty neat seeing the changing infrastructure around plug-ins and the price modeling.

Plug-In Electric Vehicle (PEV) Infrastructure Authorization for School Boards
Beginning July 1, 2017, school boards may operate retail, fee-based PEV charging infrastructure on school property. Access during school hours must be restricted to employees, students, and authorized visitors only. PEV charging infrastructure must be accompanied by appropriate signage that details these restrictions. (Reference House Bill 2431, 2017 and Virginia Code 22.1-131, 56-1.2, 56-1.2:1, and 56-232.2:1)

Just thought I'd share. I'm not a teacher, student or have any reason to be a authorized visitor but figured some of you out there may be.

That's Virginia for ya. I wonder if other states have similar laws...

It's probably not the part about installing the charger, maybe more about it being "fee-based retail" that needed a bill to be passed to install/operate them.
