Call me dumb what what exactlly are those numbers2010: 50%; 2011: 30%
I bought used, you are in the best place in the US for a good deal on a used Volt. When I was looking the best prices with the lowest miles were in Michigan. This is still a while down the road being that the Volt has just been released this past winter, but unless I am blind and have not read clearly, would there be any incentive to buy a volt used, down the road, say when someones 3 year lease runs up. Would there be any tax incentives or are those specifically for new EV's? Sorry if its a dumb question just one thought seeing I don't have the current money for a Volt.
That's because of supply and demand, and human nature.I've noticed the used prices don't seem to reflect the tax incentive. Let's say you buy a new volt and then sell it the very next day. It should be worth *at least* $7,500 less because the used car can't use the incentive, and probably closer to $10,000 because of new car depreciation. However, the used cars seem to be discounted only about $5K or so. Strange.
