Ford and Uber are using Fusion Energis, which has less ICE and more EV. I posted here in the forums (including a YouTube video) about the new Autonomous Fusions, which have the LIDAR units mounted as a second "rear view mirror" on the "A" column, just above the real mirrors and not on the roof. Future verisons may integrate the LIDAR into the mirror body. Ford bought the LIDAR company Velodyne, and already have fully autonomous Fusion Hybrids and Energis and Focus Electrics running around.
There are many YouTube vidoes showing Ford tests, including a self parking and retrieving Focus. The driver gets out of the Focus and presses a button on the remote. The Focus then searches for a parking space and parks, all by itself with no driver. A second button makes that same Focus leave the parking and drive by itself to the driver location, then the driver just opens the door and gets in.
Ford was a pioneer with Park Assist before GM was. I rode in a Fusion Hybrid Titanium with Park Assist in 2013, and it works perfectly. Now there are several Ford and Lincoln vehciles with Park Assist. See the list here with a demo:

Apparently his auto collection includes a Tesla Roadster.
Sure President Trump likes the Chevy Bolt, as it is made in USA. President Trump also wants to up the drilling for oil and natural gas in the U.S. as well. Just what we need more oil and natural gas on the market place.
All that will do is lower the price of oil and in the end lower the price of gasoline, jet fuel, heating oil, and diesel for the consumer and not have to bow to the middle east to keep our gas tanks filled. So far so good, I have a Volt and a Prius, both use gasoline, the Volt not so much. For those who would rather buy fuel from the countries who at the very least don't support our values, go ahead, my wife and I would much rather buy gas for our Volt and Prius that is made from US Crude, which in turn will give many of our US citizens family wage jobs.
