I'm moving to NYC so I have to transfer the lease on my beloved 2017 Chevrolet Volt. Car is in almost-new condition and has low mileage and features leather, Apple CarPlay, and a rear camera. Lease expires in May, 2019 with 36k miles but I've only used about 11k of the miles. Buyer must have excellent credit and live in California. Monthly payment is $268.

does that payment include tax or no?
Apple carplay and rear camera are standard
What color and any options besides leather?

since you pocketed the $1500~$3500 state rebate when new, also the interested party has to pay couple hundreds of transfer fees
you might want to consider offering incentives to get rid of

1. Transfer fee is $595...
2. I understand one may want to mention "excellent credit" to avoid headaches and dirtbags offerings to pay monthly payments if you keep it under ones name (NEVER DO THAT, there's a sucker born everyday) but you only need a 620 credit score...
3. With "must live in Cali" that isn't the rule, the rule is you must possess a Cali license...So theoretically you could move from Vegas, legitimately move to Cali but not qualify because you haven't applied for a Cali license...Same in the reverse, you could hold a license in Cali, move to Vegas, not apply for a NV license and therefore still qualify...
4. I wish the OP the best of luck but fear they'll need to kick in some extra money on top of paying the transfer fee to close the deal...
