My 2017 Volt does not announce traffic delays or stoppages. They show up on the screen as a list and on the map as red or yellow lines on the map but I do not get an announcement when there is a delay ahead. My old 2012 volt did this. Has this been removed for 2017? AM I just missing a setting. I do have the alerts turned on.

The only alerts I seem to get are associated with accidents, not just heavy traffic conditions. In metro DC, heavy traffic is the norm, so my whole commuting time would be consumed with alerts if otherwise

Also, the free 90 day trial of XM traffic is soon to expire for me, so won't matter much longer..

Thanks. Interesting. My 2012 Volt announced accidents and also delays. They were very helpful in estimating when I would get home.

Is there somewhere to turn this on. My car doesn't announce either. I've only had it a week and am still learning the idiosyncrasies. It's 2014, new to me.

There is a menu item called voice alerts where you can turn them on or off but it does not produce traffic alerts
