The 2017 Volt (Gen 2) Owner's Manual recommends swapping a front flat tire for one that is holding air. Otherwise you risk damaging the front fascia as the Volt is winched on the flat bed.Is is ok to pull the volt on the flat bed with a front flat? Car has 2 flats, left rear and front.
Again, manual written by lawyers... says only flatbed tow, yet says you can dinghy tow it in a 2 wheel car dolly. Written this way due to lazy tow truck drivers who don't check clearance between wheel and stinger lift to make sure it clears body/frame and is not lifted too high. It absolutely can be safely towed with a wheel lift "by a competent operator"Better watch them UN-load as well if you let them do it that way.
Pull up that part of the manual on your phone and show it to them
I've seen those European tow trucks clear a street in minutes. I thought they were amazingly quick.Low angle rollbacks are becoming the new standard in towing... A set of 2x8 pieces of lumber do the same thing
One thing you will never see stateside is the crazy European tow trucks. These never made any sense to me. High risk of damage and liability. Plus the process is slow. U can use a sneaker wheel lift to get vehicles out of tight spaces much faster or use wheel dolly/skates to pull out of space then hookup
Sneaker lift. Aka repo wheel lift
