Just wanted to say hello to the Volt community. I like others on here have come over due to the Vw TDI buy back program. We are waiting on VW to take our Passat TDI back and in the meantime i decided to pull the trigger on a Volt for my daily driver. We replaced the Passat with a Jeep SRT8...but thats a different story/different forum
My Volt is a 2013 with 30k miles on it. White exterior with black cloth interior and looks like a basic trim model. I look forward to learning this vehicle, its capabilities, and being part of this forum. What really drove me towards a Volt was a test drive which was a pleasant surprise. What drove me towards a test drive is the possibility of doing a round trip work commute on electric and charging it at work for free during my 10hr shift. I could possibly be driving this car for free (energy cost wise) back and forth to work. That intrigues me similarly to the past 8 tdi's I've owned for commuting purposes.
First items I'm addressing on the vehicle is an alignment and then an engine oil change. On a side note; are their regional and national car meets for Volt owners? Im in the Portland Oregon area and wouldn't mind meeting up with fellow Volt owners/enthusiasts.
