So what's the tallest tire anyone has put on a gen2?

anyone about to purchase tire's want to go up a size in height to do research for the community?

Well the standard size is 205/50/17. You could try the Volt Gen1 size of 215/55/17
Tire Rack dot com will have all the specs as far as weight and circumference.

I think standard on gen 2 is actually 215/50R17. For winter tires I put on 205/60R16's for a whopping extra 0.2" of diameter.

An extra 0.6" of sidewall, though, which is nice for winter.

I'm running 225/50R-17 MICHELIN DEFENDER T+H SL on my Gen2. If you turn the steering wheel to full lock and move at low speeds, it barely scrubs my inner wheel well. Other than that, no problems. The tires are wearing pretty well too. But, I just checked on tirerack and it doesn't seem that those are made anymore. The Defender 2 seems to be replacing the T+H.
