Is there tail lights in the hatch of a 2012?
I failed an inspection the other day cause "they" said the tail lights on hatch were out. All others are fine.
Or, is it just ignorance on the part of Pep Boys?

Ignorance. The things you see in the hatch are reflectors.

When they said they would work up a price ... I ran. Any places near where I live here south of ABQ would do something like that for free. Dirty place too.

This seems to be a common ignorance. I recall a post where another member received a "fix it" ticket for tail/brake lamps not functioning there as well. Apparently the concept model had lighting there, but that was removed for production and it seems images of the concept model are what shops and law enforcement seem to find when checking for what lights up and what doesn't.
