Any chance you can record using a good phone the whistling while hit happens? I say phone cause they typically have better mic then a dash cam. A camcorder also works well.
One person's whistling is another person's fan blade sound.
I typically drive cruise control but use my foot to accelerate as needed. I typically cruise 55 at light traffic and frequently push the accelerator to speed up to 65 to close distance with car in front of me. I accelerate gradually (keeping the green leaf one "bar" away from neutral) and don't recall hearing anything out of the ordinary. I've been listening and gathering info (road, speed, weather, speed, incline) for my own noise issue (OnStar header console area vibrates) and so I've been keeping my ear keen for any weird sounds. Haven't heard any whistling yet.
I do hear the HV inverter as I accelerate or if I engage significant regen (20kW+), though.
