One of my 2013s just started doing the same thing. Not sure what it is.

All,
I too have experienced this issue. after going to PepBoys, they discovered this is a known issue.
The NHTSA Reference number is: 10078560
The Chevy TSB is: PI-0659-E
basically, the steering column is rubbing against other components.

If you take it to your dealer and you still have a bumper-to-bumper warranty, they will fix it for free
If your warranty expired, you (like me) will probably have to just pay the diagnostic fee ~$95

All-in-all, it took them about 30 minutes to fix at my dealer.
Thanks. Good to know.
