A bit weird and concerning. Today my big screen clock changed the time by 3 hrs. and a bit. 20 minutes later it came back to the correct time. Hope it is not some electrical glitch in the system. Anyone else seen this?

The time syncs with onstar cellular network, if it's anything like volt. So if you're travelling and hit a cell tower with incorrect time, it may sync to that time and sync back when it hits one with the correct time.

My volt has never changed its time by itself. Whenever we do the daylight savings time switch, I've always had to manually increase of decrease the hour. I wish it did use the on-board cellular phone to sync the time. Or at a minimum, song the time from a smartphone plugged into USB or Bluetooth.

They added time sync and text messages in 2014, both of which you're missing out on.

I agree it should be syncing from a connected bluetooth device, or even GPS, which should be universally right and not need a subscription to access.

Not only does my 2013 not sync with any time standard, it loses a good 3 minutes over the course of the daylight saving period.

My 2013 loses a little time too. Our 2002 Saturn really lost time fast. Funny how GM seems to have a problem with digital clocks. The funniest glitch in my Volt though is the date. Onstar keeps it perpetually one day ahead of reality. If I manually reset it, it'll switch ahead at the next startup. Car's time zone is correct. Chevrolet customer service, onstar service, no help at all.

Weird. Not only is mine within a minute of my cell phone now, the last time I adjusted anything other than the hour was August 2015.i guess I got the GOOD quartz.
