Correct me if I'm wrong, but if memory serves: The cost of home solar today before Federal tax incentives is cheaper than home solar was early in Obama's presidency after Federal tax incentives. Cut solar credits and tax incentives, and solar is still more cost-effective than fossil fuels.
Also, in my opinion, the next big job growth area in the United States is creating and installing grid-tied battery backup systems. Control peaks and valleys in the power grid (duck curve) and diminish the need for fossil fuels even further.
