i am buying a 2017 volt premium with nav and backup camera. I would like to install a right side camera under the right outside mirror. i feel pretty confident i could install and trigger off the turn signal. what i am unsure about is how to interface it with the factory screen. i assume there must be a way to tap into the backup cam rca circuit and maybe 'y' in the side view rca. does this sound plausible? any hints, thoughts, wiring diagrams anyone could share? if i can make this work, i would write a detailed guide for a sticky.

You do realize there is no turn signal in the outside mirrors in Gen2?

i will tackle that issue when i get to it. my main concern is the interface

perhaps the NAVTOOL interface may help http://www.navtool.com/chevrolet-volt-2016-2018-hdmi-interface.aspx, possibility of 4 camera and smarthphone mirrorring, direct install no wire to cut for the interface.
