Hey guys,

I have a 2017 Volt that I bought in the end of May and have been searching about recent updates/recalls and I'm trying to put a list together so the dealer can't say they don't have anything. I have tried searching but a lot of the threads don't list the actual recall or tsb/bulletin numbers.

1 I am having problems with my Volt screen going black and restarting. The first call in my car either outgoing or received always doesn't have sound coming out of the speakers (always have to hang up and call back). I also got the service rear camera message a couple of times.

2 I am getting some jerking (reminds me of a engine miss) when driving on gas and when it switches from EV to gas

3 I read there was an update about getting better fuel and ev mileage?.

Wanted to make sure I have some knowledge when I drop it off at the dealer. For the most part the car has been great. Any help with recall and tsb numbers would be appreciated or anything else I should add to the list to ask the dealer

Dealers have access to an online database of TSBs and official recalls applicable to each vehicle based on the VIN. Should be more complete than your own research. Ask the rep to run the tool and print out the results for you. Use that plus your list of complaints as a checklist when you pick up the vehicle. I believe that dealers get ding-ed by GM if they skip any applicable service actions.

I just had service campaigns handled and when I made the appointment, the service writer read back to me each of the campaigns and what would be done. It's based on your VIN and as kns stated, it's in the database and they will know what to do. You should know right now exactly what they are doing Saturday if you already scheduled the appointment. If not, call back and ask.

Yea it is confusing and that is why I started this thread. He said there is something for rear camera and said hopefully it fixes the other radio issues.... I'm not really having problems with the camera but the other stuff esp the better mileage would be great.

He didn't mention anything else which contradicts what other people are posting..

Did you check for recalls on your Chevy app? Go to "Vehicle Status" and scroll to the bottom "check for recall", click that and see what that says. Mine did show one or two of the campaigns. Since I had the service, and after a few days, that check for recall is now cleared for my VIN.

I had the evaporator hose replaced (it was starting to wear through, contact by a metal piece rubbing against it) and a protective shield placed over the new hose. That is rare, most cars only need the protective shield placed on the existing hose. I also had the HPM2 module reprogrammed.
