I tried saving system data to USBC using the option in settings. All I get is the generic message that an error occurred, try again and if it persists to contact your dealer.

Has anyone been able to do this successfully?

I'm using a 1GB memory key. Anybody know what format it must be in? (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc?)

I've never heard of that option before...what is it supposed do? I thought I had explored all the menu options on mine...I don't recall seeing that one

Get into vehicle settings, go to bottom, option is saving to usb.

I think it saves preferences in case you need to reset the entire system. It can make restore of customization settings quicker.
