If it's on the window sticker, you have to take it. But what you pay for it is between you and the dealer. And don't blame Rydell too much, most of these cars come as quick configs from GM, and that might be why they have the extra $500 off. I actually feel sorry for one of the Northern California dealers that got stuck with a bunch of them and can't move them.
