Hey guys, my 2013 has developed some rust bubbles around the rear Chevy emblem. Is this a known issue?

I had this issue on my 2013 Volt a couple years ago. I got it repaired under warranty. They repainted the back hatch and replaced the emblems.

It may have gotten kicked anyway 'cause the bowtie was painted and the removal/installation may have started the corrosion. That's what the writer may say.

It's not painted, I used a 3M vinyl. The emblem was never removed. I put the vinyl on top and carefully cut around the edges.

I should add that the same things happening on the opposite corner.

My '14 is covered 6yr/100,000mi for corrosion. Are you sure you're out?

I'm pretty sure that's rust through not surface rust. In other words if it rusts a hole all the way through the metal.

All cars rust if you don't wash and wax the car, especially the way they spread salt in Chicagoland. This is compelling me to get out and wax my car after a recent wash, and q-tip all the corners.
