Removal of ELR lettering on trunk

I recently purchased a 2014 ELR. Has anyone removed the ELR letters on the trunk? I would like to do this but wanted to be sure there are no holes under the letters. I think they are glued on but was hoping to hear from someone who may have done this already.

Why would you do this? The Cadillac logos in the lights and on the sills would be difficult to remove/change, so 'debadging' is very difficult.

I'm pretty sure they are glue-on, but, checking with a Caddy shop would be a good start.

I took the dealer badge off the back of mine (glue-on) and the paint was obviously faded on the rest of the car. I had to cover the flaw with an American Flag emblem.
