Removal of ELR lettering on trunk

I recently purchased a 2014 ELR. Has anyone removed the ELR letters on the trunk? I would like to do this but wanted to be sure there are no holes under the letters. I think they are glued on but was hoping to hear from someone who may have done this already.

As Dave says, you're going to have trouble finding someone who knows. Why not look under the trunk lid liner ( I assume it's lined, like my 2000 Jetta) and see if there are any fasteners showing?
