Removal of ELR lettering on trunk

I recently purchased a 2014 ELR. Has anyone removed the ELR letters on the trunk? I would like to do this but wanted to be sure there are no holes under the letters. I think they are glued on but was hoping to hear from someone who may have done this already.

Any GM dealer will be able to bring up the image for the part and you'll be able to see if there are posts.
