Hi all,
I'm a software engineer/internet entrepreneur in Utah. There is a company in Provo called Raser Technologies (symbol RZ) that is aggressively working with the auto industry to license it's Symetron motor technology in plug-in hybrids. Raser has a 3-way agreement between themselves, FEV, and an unnamed major OEM which is one of the Detroit big 3. They can't say who the OEM is because the OEM contracually controls announcement of their identity for competitive reasons.
Does anyone know which motor/drivedrain will be used in the Volt?
BTW, I'm not buying another car until a plug-in hybrid is available.
