My wife got in our 2013 Volt today and upon start-up noticed a message that she thinks stated " reduced propulsion"....it disappeared before I could see it, but sounds like it could be a problem. Would the dealership be able to see that this message showed up even though it is gone now? The car has approx 86k miles on it so I want to make sure this is looked at, if it is even possible now that the message is gone. I did search this message and it seems as though it may need some reprogramming?

That one's a transient message that goes away when the conditions that cause it no longer exist. However, it's weird to see it at startup and "weird stuff at startup" is sometimes an indication that it's time to replace the 12v AGM accessory battery in the back under the cargo floor. Keep an eye out for more oddnesses. (NB normal battery testing will often report a bad Volt accessory battery as being just fine when it isn't; they test how well the the battery will spin a V8 at least well enough to start, not how smoothly it supplies powers to about 20 computers that need to turn on and and trip a bunch of relays in the proper order.)
