Last night my kids' school had their annual science fair night. We took the Bolt to the school (pretty much take it everywhere nowadays, as my Volt has been relegated to commuter car status).

Towards the end of the night, one of the mothers stopped my wife and asked her about the Bolt, since she saw my wife get out of it earlier. I thought "Oh hey, cool, another person that has questions about the Bolt" and was prepared to give my elevator speech on the Bolt. I got to talking with the lady, and it turned out she was actually a GM employee! Not exactly sure what she does, but works for big GM.

We told her about how we "imported" a Bolt from CA as soon as they hit dealerships there, and how our Bolt was the first in MD. She was impressed, and said our Bolt was the first one she had actually seen out in the wild in MD, and that when she saw our Bolt in the parking lot, she was super excited.

She asked me about my impressions of the Bolt and specifically how it compared to the Volt, and I told her we pretty much liked everything about it, with the extra cabin space and performance being advantages over the Volt. Also asked what our maximum distance traveled was on 1 charge, and I told her just under 290 miles.
I should have mentioned my "Cross whole state of MD on a single charge" attempt I'm making next month, but ran out of time.

She did say that if there was anything I needed or if I wanted any feedback passed back to Detroit, to let her know. I wonder if I can get her to spill the beans on any future projects. :p

Nice! You need to ask what's up with the very conservative Bolt EV charging profile on DC fast chargers, see if she can get the true intel or if your conspiracy theory is true. ;)

Tell her we're all anxiously awaiting a small Voltec SUV ala the Trax or Equinox with AWD, 40 EV miles and 40 mpg.

+1 on waiting for a 30+ mile AER Voltec or 200 mile BEV Equinox sized CUV by 2019 when it is time to replace my wife's ICE RAV4. No need for AWD for us.
+2. Will be looking to replace one of the Volts within the next two years, and we will only be shopping for an EV or range-extended EV. I'd just as soon it be a Voltec-driven Equinox.

Good old charm, I believe I saw you state you're married, invite her and her significant other out with you and your wife for a happy hour...Folks tend to be a lot more loose lipped out and about with drinks vs text/email...
