According to the "Build & Price" feature of the Chevrolet website, Forward Automatic Braking is an available option, but there is a caveat of "Late availability" and "See Dealer For Pricing".

I see lots of threads about ACC (Adaptive cruise control), but not much mention of Forward Automatic Braking (FAB). It seems that FAB requires ACC, but does ACC come with FAB?

Has anyone experienced or tested FAB? Any reviews out there of this system? Is it similar to any other GM system in a production vehicle?

Yes, when ACC is selected FAB (high speed) is added automatically ($0 cost), and slow-speed breaking is deleted. When you use the build tool on the Chevrolet site when adding ACC you get a popup: Adding the Adaptive cruise control will change the following: Driver Confidence II Package, Driver Confidence Package, IntelliBeam® headlamps with automatic high-beam, and Forward Automatic Braking.
