I'm looking for Winter tires for my 2017 Volt. My current OEM tires are 215/50 R17 and I have almost new Winter tires from my previous car (Hyundai Sonata Hybrid) which are 215/60 R16. Will these fit on the Volt?

The calculator I used below shows a speed variance of 2.65% too slow which is pretty close.
However you will need to find 16" rims that will match the Volt's 5x105 bolt pattern. I believe the Sonata Hybrid has a bolt pattern of 5x114 which the rims won't fit the 2017 Volt.

Thanks for the quick reply, I guess the good part is I can just find different rims and reuse the same tires.
Now I have to find some sensibly priced TPMS sensors. :)

Something else to consider is to make sure a 16" wheel will fit over the brakes before spending the money on a pair. Although the bolt pattern won't fit, you might try to test fit one of your 16" wheels on one of the front tire locations. The front brakes are bigger than the rear and most likely have tighter tolerances. Also selling them as a complete set and looking for another set on craigslist or ebay may be a better option.
