My local GM dealer has a few on the lot, and I've seen a demo. They tell me they are not a very popular item, even in a hydro centric province like Quebec. Honestly, a lot of Spark buyers will gravitate towards the Leaf

Seems somewhat popular with gov't and fleet buyers though.

It also qualifies for a $8000 rebate in Quebec and $5000 in BC. There are no national incentives for EVs in Canada.

So in Quebec, a new loaded '16 Spark EV (~36k Canadian before TTL) would actually be around 36k - 8k rebate = 28k. How much are Spark EV's being discounted off MSRP in Canada?

Rebate would be applied after sales tax which in Quebec is 14.975%

Yep. The rebate is after tax (13%) in Ontario, too. In BC it's before tax.
