If are counting on the Calif CVRP Funds to lower your purchase / lease cost...looks like the 2016/2017 Funding has run out as of June 30. Low Income Applicants still have funds available.

Important Information from the State of California

Funding is appropriated for the rebate project each year in the State Budget. FY 2016-17 funding will be exhausted before FY 2017-18 funds will be appropriated and allocated to the project.

As of June 30, 2017, only qualified lower-income applicants, as described here, will receive rebates. CVRP reserved $8 million for qualified lower-income applicants, thereby prioritizing payments to low- and moderate-income applicants in accordance with program requirements. All other applicants will be placed on a rebate waitlist. Qualified applicants on the rebate waitlist will receive payment if the project receives more funding from the State of California.

May dent Bolt Sales since the $2500 lowered lease payments by almost $70 on 3 year lease.

I got a notice that my application was approved on June 28 and that my $1500 check will be mailed within 90 days. I'm hoping there will be no snags. :(

There's a waitlist provision, and you have 18-months to apply in the first place. Given the popularity of the program and the state's commitment to alternative energy and transportation, it's likely that new funds will be allocated fairly quickly.

In other states, the IL state rebate program has been suspended for 3+ years now. But the state legislature just overrode the governor's budget veto so money will start flowing. Coincidentally, the illinoisgreenfleets.org website looks to be under maintenance, or maybe they didn't pay their bills and the ISP took the domain name hostage. Despite accepting the fact that our state probably cannot afford to give people up to $4k in rebates, it the program is reinstated, I'd be tempted to jump in on another EV purchase with that $11.5k advantage.
