Sorry if this question has already been covered but most the information I could find all was about Gen 1 Volts and I'm away from home and the manual right now but I kinda suspect it'll just have the jack points for the compact space saving jack anyway...

I'm curious where the jack points are for use with a floor jack/jack stands... that is if mine is low enough to get under the car, I've read issues on that as well, but it doesn't SEEM extremely low clearance...

Per the manual, p 237, there are four lifting points that are common for either hoist or jack use. Look for a recessed area in the body flange just behind the front tire, and just in front of the rear tire.

Since you posted, I assume you have internet access. 2017 Volt manual:

https://my.chevrolet.com/content/da...uals/2017/Chevrolet/Volt/2k17volt1stPrint.pdf

It appears where you place the weight differs depending on the lifting device: hoist puts it on the recessed area of the flange while service jack you place on the flat pad behind the recessed area of the flange (behind relative to you staring at the recessed area of the flange, or the flat pad closer to the centerline of the vehicle and not the rear of the vehicle).

Please consult the manual, I am a car noob.

Looks like the answers are above. I usually keep a PDF manual for items like the car, camera and a few other things on my mobile device. For this, you'd search on terms like lifting, jack, or spare, etc.

The post above is correct, page 237 in the 2017 manual. See the link in my sig to download PDF versions. Good Luck!
