I would so no.. it's displaying a non legal color of light to the front of the vehicle other than what's allowed. Probably not safe in the event of a crash either. I would say your looking to get pulled over and held up for awhile while they write some tickets.
been there done that....

also, in most states now, holding a mobile device (your phone) to take that picture behind the wheel while on a roadway is also not legal.

Lol, I once was looking for a piece of plasma glass to put in the gen 1 back window for "effect" but gave up on the idea for distraction/safety reasons and because my daughter rolled her eyes when I mentioned it.

I created an animated presentation on my iPad for the rear window to show off my MPG, but my daughter and wife both rolled their eyes at it. It actually sat on top of the voltshelf and displayed out the lower window quite nicely. If I was cruising at night in Cali, I'd do it, but not in the cornfields (and next year bean fields) of east central IL. Cows can't read anyway.

It's also illegal. You may remember a while back that taxi cabs had rolling LED text signs in their rear windows. Then suddenly they all disappeared.
