Very strange. I ordered mine on Mar 31 from Applewood Chev in Mississauga and took delivery May 17. I was talking with the dealer a couple of days ago and he said they were waiting on 4 Volts they ordered but they were 2018's.

Is it a small dealer, or a fairly large one?

I had this happen once years ago with a small local dealer. Ordered a vehicle, never came in. The dealer kept telling me "It's a really popular car and takes a while to get". I kept seeing them in stock at other dealers, so I demanded my deposit back. he said "Well, I don't know if I can sell it to someone else". Funny how a "popular" car went to "don't know if I can sell it". I wrote him a letter saying I would get a lawyer involved, and got my money back right away.

I'm pretty sure he sold my vehicle to someone else, and then had to place a new order for me, which is why it was taking so long.

I just picked my 2018 last night. Dealer told me they had about 25 orders of Volt and majority of them are still waiting. It was exactly 12 weeks from order to showing up on the dealer lot.

Your patience should be rewarded as you are driving your new Volt and you then forget where the gas cap is because all you do is drive it and charge it...:)
