Thanks for the post about the six weeks plant closure. I ordered my new Volt today(Cajun Red LT with ash leather interior). I was going to order a little later for a Jan 2018 (new tax year) delivery. My dealer said he thought it would be built before the closure. As of now my 2017 Volt is for sale. If no takers, the dealer will get it on trade.
It's an LT in cyber gray with ash leather interior and 13k miles. Price is 24k.

Edward, I have bemoaned the dearth of interior color alternatives on the Volt. All I see on the GM web site is black interior to go with the Cajun Red. What did you have to do to get Ash?

You have to upgrade to the leather interior to get Ash color choice with cajun red. The whole story is my wife wanted the blue but its only available with black interior. Pretty soon all interior color choices may be a thing of the past. The light gray color makes the car feel more open and airy.
